Position Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist and Medical Laboratory Technician departmental team lead provides professional clinical laboratory science services, including performance of clinical laboratory examinations, proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management, and other functions toward the attainment of these goals. This position oversees the work of non-independent practitioners (technicians, Lab Assistants, phlebotomists) and trainees.
The laboratory department team lead is responsible for ensuring the departments day to day responsibilities are meet in accordance to the manufacturer’s recommendations, Joint Commissions requirements, and CLIA/CMS requirements.
Position is 40 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.
