Voyage FCU is looking for a Member Service Representative to join our team at our Dawley Farms branch! The ideal candidate is self-motivated and productive, enjoys creating relationships with members and staff, and will handle each member interaction with empathy and the utmost professional attitude.
The Member Service Representative will serve as a liaison between the member and the credit union. This position is expected to be educated on all products and services that the credit union offers, including online services while professionally handling the member’s daily financial needs.
What You Will Do:
- Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
- Provide in person and by telephone, email and written, general and specific service-related information concerning credit union services or policies.
- Receive share drafts and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine for proper endorsement, enter deposits in system, and place hold on accounts for uncollected funds
- Cash share drafts and process withdrawals; payout money after verification of signatures and member balances
- Receive mortgage, consumer loans and other payments, and ensure the payment match balances due.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totals to computer – generated proof. Balance with 97% accuracy (approximately 7 offages or less per year)
- Able to operate and balance cash recycler
- Count, check and package coins and currency
- Research and resolve any issues, discrepancies, or problems on sales products and services.
- Ensure the security of cash and negotiable instruments at all times.
- Be a subject-matter expert for the credit union on our products and services. Ensure that knowledge on specialty is up-to-date by attending educational seminars and/or reading industry periodicals and/or pending changes in rules and regulations.
- Performs procedures for opening and closing the branch, including vault, alarm and door duties
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate and present effectively in person and over the phone.
- Must become proficient in the online banking products and services that Voyage FCU offers.

Salary:
Starting at $16-17.50 per hour, plus incentive pay
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday from 7:45am – 4:15pm or 9am – 5:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
- Rotating Saturdays from 8:45am-12:15pm
