Broker Relations Representative establishes or maintains a business relationship with new or existing brokers. Provides commissions for brokers in an accurate and timely manner. Being a Broker Relations Representative troubleshoots all the administrative and specialized issues from brokers and clients. Handles concerns, issues and questions from brokers and customers. Additionally, Broker Relations Representative requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Broker Relations Representative gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' sales experience, preferably in an insurance industry, will be considered.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel, as necessary, within the designated service area required.
State Insurance (Arkansas Life and Disability Insurance) License within three (3) months of hire.
Professional Academy of Healthcare Management, Fellow Academy of Healthcare Management, Certified Health Consultant, Certified Life Underwriter, or other AHIP designation preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years' sales experience with a proven sales record.
Experience in health insurance, life insurance, or managed care preferred.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to make a formal marketing presentation. Incumbent must make presentation to the interview panel as prerequisite for further consideration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
This position is identified as level three (3).
