The City of Littleton welcomes applications for a new Budget Manager position. The Budget Manager is responsible for managing the City’s budget process including the preparation and maintenance of the budget and performs long-range financial forecasting and strategic planning for revenues and expenditures.
Exciting Projects: The City’s new ERP system Workday will go live in March/April 2024. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to utilize, assess the functionality, and improve upon the newly implemented system. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing and coordinating the internal CIP committee as well as performing other interdepartmental efforts such as labor negotiations and fee studies.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to develop strong relationships with leadership and collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. They will be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, including budget planning facilitation, complex problem solving and coordinate efforts that are cross-departmental and often include conflicting priorities. Previous experience identifying trends, anomalies and opportunities that support overall budget strategies is ideal. This position reports directly to the Finance Director but will exercise informal authority as it relates to budget management. This position currently supervises one Budget Analyst.

Hiring Range: $122,360 - $135,240
This full-time position is exempt per FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position and has the option to work a hybrid schedule with some days teleworking and some days working in person at the office.
