Building and Grounds Supervisor supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Under general supervision, Golf Course Maintenance I or II is responsible for various golf course maintenance duties. All assigned tasks include the preparation and playability of all courses, the driving range, and clubhouse grounds daily, for guest and member play. Essential functions include mowing greens, tees, fairways, collars, roughs, edging, raking, and smoothing bunkers. In addition, complete grass trimming around all trees, cart paths, hazards, or other objects, rotating tee markers, cup changing, and maintenance of ball washers.
