Building and Grounds Supervisor supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. The Grounds Technician maintains the grounds and exterior infrastructure of the campus under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor. This is a hands-on, in-the-field position working with the grounds, mowing, and maintenance teams on a daily basis. The Grounds Technician assumes responsibility for maintaining the grounds of the campus at a superior level and with exceptional attention to detail and meeting the standards of performance quality which reflect a pristine campus.
This position works Monday through Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM.
