The candidate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

• Fully knowledgeable of the daily building functions and program operations. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and staff; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Conveys information on all programs and schedules and as appropriate, refers members to other programs. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
• Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment immediately to immediate supervisor using predetermined reporting method.
• High level of understanding and the ability to operate the various areas of building security and overall building functionality.
• Responsible for the safety of staff, members, and guests of the YMCA to assure that all YMCA rules, policies and procedures are understood and followed.

Other tasks may be assigned by Membership Director.

• Must pass employment background check, must arrive for work and be ready to assist customers at the start of each shift, professional attire and attitude are required, proficient use of computer programs and systems, provide outstanding customer service in all situations, reconcile and batch out in a timely manner at the completion of each shift, excellent ambassador for the YMCA brand both on the property and in the community, strong working knowledge of YMCA programs and classes in order to benefit the customer and staff and be open to coaching and feedback opportunities for growth.

The candidate must also enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail and dependable.

Schedule: Sunday: 8:45am-1:00pm and or Thursday 4:00pm-8:00pm

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $18.00 per hour, access to facilities to all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
