Serve as a member of the District’s custodial team. To maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence and provide students with a safe, attractive, clean, and comfortable environment so they can take full advantage of the District’s educational opportunities; to contribute to a positive school atmosphere by offering pleasant, accommodating custodial services for students, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent required
- Demonstrated attitude, ability to communicate with and support other staff members, students and visitors
- Demonstrated experience or training to be proficient in basic institutional custodian skills of restroom cleaning, carpet care, floor tile care, and sanitation
- Demonstrated ability to be an active, positive, supportive team member
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and utilize dolly’s and/or material movement aids to move heavy equipment and freight
- Demonstrated ability to plan and carry out annual and summer cleaning schedules
- Basic knowledge and understanding of building systems to include electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling
- Ability to conduct minor repairs to the building and grounds
- Such additions or modifications to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable
Salary: District Support Services Wage Schedule – 2023-2024 Base = $17.30/hour
Employment Term: Eight (8) hours per day, twelve (12) months per year, with benefits as provided in Administrative Regulations/Operational Procedures
Beginning Date: As soon as mutually agreeable after appointment.
