    CONTRACT POSITION WITH FULL BENEFITS
    Position Description: Building Enclosure Inspector
    Job Summary: Performs building enclosure inspections and tests of new and existing building to ensure work is being performed in accordance with the project documents, manufacturers’ requirements and standard practices.
    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Provide inspection and surveillance of construction work to ensure the work is in accordance with the contract.
    • Perform building enclosure inspections and tests
    • Perform condition surveys
    • Perform building envelop commission
    • Assist in the performance of field tests:
      • Windows, curtain walls and doors
      • Electronic Roof Tests
      • Wind Uplift Tests
      • Blower Door Tests
      • Pull Tests
    • Infrared Thermography of walls and roofs
    • Produce field reports for work performed
    • Write technical reports and procedure manuals
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Must be able to define problems, collect data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Ability to forensically evaluate building enclosure systems and detect and evaluate deficiencies, quantify energy losses and determine cost
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, and the public
    • Must be well organized and detail-oriented
    • Able to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
    • Ability to obtain appropriate US government security clearance and/or access to secured client sites
    Education and Experience:
    • BS or BA Degree in Architectural Engineering or Building Construction Science
    • 8-10 years of experience with specific knowledge and experience in the design, evaluation, investigation and commissioning of building enclosure components and assemblies on both new and existing structures.
    • Experience with building construction sciences, enclosure systems, architectural design, enclosure testing, enclosure commissioning and retro-commissioning
    • Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx), Certification in the Commissioning Process or has the experience to obtain one in the first year of employment.
    • OSHA-10 Safety Course
    Physical Requirements:
    • Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments; able to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions
    • Able to stand for eight hours or more at a time
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds
