Hybrid or On Campus On Campus Position Summary
Conducts daily student financial operations and consultations to support the efficient processing of student accounts. Develops and delivers recommendations for policies and processes and represents the Bursar in their absence or at their discretion.
Responsibilities
- 20% - Evaluates student tuition accounts, processes tuition payments, approves students for academic registration, generates and updates reports, and disseminates information to the appropriate entities
- 20% - Receives, investigates, and responds to complex tuition circumstances according to established policies and procedures
- 20% - Serves as a point of contact for students and their support systems providing tuition payment options and information and account status updates to ensure timely payments and processing
- 20% - Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- 10% - Assists with the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of policies and procedures for the billing and collection of tuition payments and other financial student account encumbrances institution wide in the absence of the Bursar
- 10% - Ensures compliance of federal and state rules and regulations with regards to student disbursements
Required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Associate Degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience, ideally as a data/financial analyst
- Ability to provide a positive customer experience and communicate with clarity and precision
- Experience with computer software/applications and automated data analysis
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, management information systems or related field.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and full Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience presenting data and findings to leadership
- Experience in higher education or public sector
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgement, creativity, and initiative

Salary range: $65,200-$75,000
