Business Analytics Director directs a team of analysts that use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest area for and methods of improving operations. Implements analytical approaches and methodologies and assists in the interpretation of results. Being a Business Analytics Director may collect and analyze external market data to provide benchmarks for comparison purposes. Presents reports to management for use in decision making and strategic planning. Additionally, Business Analytics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an Executive. The Business Analytics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Analytics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
