Business Analytics Director manages and oversees business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Business Analytics Director consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Business Analytics Director builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or a quantitative field. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Analytics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Analytics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Signature Analytics provides expert-level accounting and business advisory solutions to small and middle-market businesses and non-profits throughout the United States. We accomplish this by managing their accounting functions and financial reporting, so they don't have to. From there, we go beyond the numbers to help improve performance and achieve their goals by focusing on forward-looking activities, direction, and strategy.

    We are a growing firm and currently looking for an experienced VP, Business Development with the following skills: 

    • Non-Profit Network: Holds deep relationships with non-profit leaders, Board members, and trusted advisors.
    • Communication: Effective communication is essential for conveying ideas, strategies, and findings in a clear and concise manner to clients, teams, and stakeholders.
    • Leadership: Leadership skills are necessary for guiding and motivating team members, managing conflicts, and fostering a collaborative environment.
    • Partner Relationship Management:  VPs of BD frequently meet with partners, educate them on our approach, and look for ways we can create meaningful value to both the partner and their clients. 
    • Persuasion:  Ability to overcome objectives and look for solutions that support the partner’s or non-profit’s needs and persuade them to use SA services.
    • Trusted Partner: Develop mutual respect, accountability, and value creation in the relationship that leads to making an emotional connection. Not transactional.
    •  Organization: orchestrate and manage the SA closing process including working with operations to ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations.
    • Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and articulate accounting and financial concepts to a non-technical audience including standard financial reporting ( Surplus / (Deficit), Statement of Financial Position, Cashflow Statement, and KPIs)
    • Discipline: Be initiative-taking, working in a remote/virtual setting, and exceeding monthly metrics.

    SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

    • A fast-paced environment with sales targets, leads, partner meetings, internal meetings, and ongoing connectivity to closed deals. VPs of BD must adapt quickly to new situations, prioritize, and communicate proactively.
    • Educating COIs and Non-Profits on the value of ongoing fractional accounting and CFO business services as a solution versus hiring direct, staff augmentation, or project work.
    •  Ability to clearly understand a non-profit’s needs based on their mission, an interview, a review of their financial reporting and accounting, and their infrastructure.
    • Gaining and keeping the attention of busy non-profit executives, Board members, and trusted advisors.

    • Close Deals: The ability to influence and engage with clients to adopt recommended strategies and solutions as well as overcome objections to close the deal.
    • Detail-Oriented: Leverage tools and resources to track relationships and opportunities to enable accurate and timely reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 7 years of Sales / Business Development Experience
    • Accounting, Finance, Banking, and/or Professional Service background
    • Proficiency and comfort in using HubSpot, G-Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales enablement tools required
    • PowerPoint – specifically

    A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is  $120,000 annually and commissions upon success increasing the overall compensation by 100% to 200%. In order to provide a competitive compensation package, Signature Analytics takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to: market compensation data, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications. A sign-on bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to benefits (employer contribution towards medical, dental, and vision premiums; 401(k) match; professional development reimbursements; cell phone and home office stipend, etc.) depending on the position offered.
