The Challenge (Job Summary)
NOMS Healthcare is enhancing its analytics and data science capabilities and is in search of an experienced Manager, Analytics. This role requires proficiency in the Microsoft Azure Cloud-based platform, Microsoft Power BI, and Alteryx Analytics Platform. The Manager, Analytics will be responsible for developing, designing, implementing, and maintaining an advanced analytics platform environment. This position plays a key role in shaping how the company interprets and utilizes data to influence both clinical and administrative operations. A significant part of this role involves creating and commercializing dashboards for ACOs and provider organizations, facilitating their ability to analyze, interpret, report, and ultimately achieve the Triple Aim: lower costs, improved quality, and enhanced member engagement. The Manager will also utilize program evaluation principles to assess impacts on costs of care, utilization, clinical quality, member experiences, and productivity, while exploring distributions and drivers of illness burden across populations. Innovation is vital in this role, as the ideal candidate will lead the development and integration of analytics within the enterprise data warehouse, including new reporting systems, analytic engines, and machine learning algorithms to support NOMS Healthcare.
Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:
• You will lead and communicate the results of analyses to internal and external stakeholders, focusing on maximizing impact and effectiveness, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending changes.
• You will oversee and analyze quality, cost, and utilization data to identify areas for improvement initiatives.
• You will manage assessments of population health status, care usage, spending, and adherence to evidence-based medicine guidelines.
• You will spearhead the development of analytics to support quality improvement and care standardization.
• You’ll provide expertise in data capture, curation, and consumption pipelines for Microsoft Azure’s platform.
• You’ll lead architectural discussions to ensure successful implementation and migration of data applications on Azure.
• You’ll collaborate with data scientists to build a full technology stack of services, including PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, operations, and management.
• You’ll champion Azure cloud solutions within the data science and analytics team, guiding both Business and IT stakeholders in developing robust, secure, and optimized Azure architectures.
•You’ll develop and maintain documentation, such as data dictionaries, to assist staff in effectively utilizing the organization’s data.
What You Need to Succeed (Competencies and Education):
• Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics within a health system, hospital, health plan, or medical practice.
• Expertise in analytical programming languages/software (Alteryx, Python, SQL) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI).
• Proven ability to independently manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with data scientists and data engineers.
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology (ICD-10, CPT, DRG codes) and understanding of adjudicated claims data.
• Familiarity with healthcare value-based care programs and healthcare service delivery.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate technical writing proficiency.
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
