Business Application Delivery Director directs and leads an organization's business application delivery department. Improves operational processes and supports critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. Being a Business Application Delivery Director enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Formulates business application architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs. Additionally, Business Application Delivery Director establishes policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and support efficient operations. Leads and develops a team of business application delivery programmers with training in the best practices and technologies. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Manages resource planning and decision-making. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior/top management. The Business Application Delivery Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Application Delivery Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Summary of Job Duties:The Director of the School of Business will be responsible for strategizing, organizing, and overseeing all operations of the School. They will play a key leadership role in maintaining, expanding, and improving the School's relationships with external stakeholders and provide academic leadership, ensuring the growth and competitiveness of the unit. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:

    Required Education and/or Experience:

    • Earned doctorate in a discipline within the School of Business from an AACSB-accredited institution;

    • Minimum of ten years of higher education teaching experience;

    • Academic credentials appropriate for the rank of associate professor or professor;

    • Experience working with AACSB accreditation;

    • Record of successful leadership, administrative, or management experience in higher education at the department chair or equivalent or higher position;

    • Excellent communication skills.

    Preferred Education and/or Experience:

    • Dedicated commitment to fostering an inclusive working and learning environment;

    • Experience with resource management including budgets and technology;

    • Experience managing and working on a team;

    • Demonstrates ability to engage with the business community;

    • Experience leading student recruitment and retention initiatives.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring that the school meets its responsibilities in maintaining AACSB accreditation standards;

    • Facilitating the development and implementation of a strategic plan;

    • Providing leadership in the development, delivery, and revision of curriculum;

    • Ensuring appropriate deployment of qualified faculty;

    • Conducting an annual evaluation of department chair performance;

    • Leading the School of Business Advisory Council;

    • Working collaboratively with the dean and directors of CBHHS;

    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    • Strong, collaborative leadership skills;

    • Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills;

    • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of current technology;

    • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
