Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Continuity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. The Business Manager – Operating Room provides administrative/clerical support and coordination of the Operating Room Department. This position requires working closely with all staff including physicians. Monitors charges and expenses, maintains database, tracks clinical income by staff and assists with budget providing information to the Nurse Manager.
Provides clerical and administrative support to the department head, including but not limited to transcription and distribution of minutes, scheduling of appointments as needed, assisting with OR schedule working with physicians and staff members.
Will assist department in compliance with JCAHO and related standards, HCFA, State and Federal Licensure Board, and other accrediting agency requirements.
Supervise Charge Capture and Reconciliation for department.
Ensures that all Pre-Authorizations are completed as required.
Supervises any clerical staff within department.
Responsible for notifying patients, as a reminder of scheduled surgeries, and completing follow-up satisfaction surveys.
Orders routine supplies and equipment, also participates in inventory control.
Completes all payroll certification for department.
Responds to communications directed to the department head and other staff members as required.
Completes productivity analysis for department.
Participates in education programs for new employees and in continuing education for all employees.
Participates in department performance improvement monitors, collecting data and reporting as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of two (2) years related experience in a clinical setting preferred. Also, Accounting and Financial background required.
Demonstrated abilityt o analyze data, report and manage patient care information typically obtained through previous experience. Demonstrated written, verbal communication and presentation skills required. Must be proficient in clerical skills, Windows, Work, Excel, Access and other computer skills.
