The JR286 Director of Business Development will be responsible for driving profitable growth by sourcing, evaluating and managing the deal flow of new business opportunities. Working in alignment with our Strategic Plan, this role will be responsible for creating an environment where the best growth ideas and opportunities are identified, prioritized and strategically pursued. As part of this process, the Director of Business Development will lead our efforts to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, while maintaining a disciplined approach to prioritizing the opportunities we pursue.
This role reports to the SVP Business Development and will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for expanding JR286’s existing portfolio of brands through new business opportunities, including new licenses, new joint ventures, strategic partnerships, acquisitions and expansions within existing partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating and executing mergers and acquisitions in the consumer space, particularly in the sports and leisure and outdoor equipment and accessories sector. The candidate will need to bring strong experience in financial modeling and use of valuation models, and have a background in understanding the value drivers in the sports accessories space. He/she will have to possess an inquisitive personality, be highly motivated, display initiative and discipline, show an ability to manage projects independently and perform at a high level under deadlines and time sensitive situations.
