Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are seeking a Business Development Director to join our organization.

    Job Summary:

    The Business Development Specialist will sell services offered by the company to current and new clientele as well as relationship management across the board.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
    • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their needs
    • Maintain superior relationships with each of his/her clients and cross-sell BCC services which may fall outside of his/her direct professional expertise
    • Understanding of BCC affiliate companies service offerings and where they fit in the development process.
    • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
    • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers
    • Maintains CRM database of current pursuits
    • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Routinely make independent decisions while maintaining direct and ongoing communications with management
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
    • At least ten years of related experience required
    • Experience within and/or prior knowledge of the Architectural, Engineering, and/or Construction Industries is a plus
    • Existing network of relevant partners and potential clients.


    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to travel.
