Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Focused approach to sell all product lines across verticals not restricting to Ocean, Air freight forwarding but leveraging on companies in house product strengths like Customs clearance, Contract Logistics, Port Solutions, CFS, Trade compliance, LLP, Multimodal solutions, Surface transport, Digital tools. |

Work closely with respective stake holders across product vertical as well as Industrial vertical heads based out of various regions and Globe for necessary customer engagement through joint meetings, delivering industry specific presentations & penetrating PSA BDP & Group solution offering what could be an differentiating factor for customer in their existing supply chain process. |

Engage the Pricing team/ Warehouse/CHB team/Operations team for necessary business support. |

Monitoring industry trends, market conditions, competition/Carriers (Shipping lines, NVOCC, Freight Brokers) trends affecting directly/indirectly PSA BDP existing, pipeline business opportunities. |

Ensuring CRM tool (Salesforce) is updated with all customers data, opportunities, events, closed wins & validation of new business wins along with finance team for necessary validation. Add/delete business accounts with immediate/no business opportunities over 180 days. |
