Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Key responsibilities

    • Identify and Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and emerging opportunities. Gather and analyze data to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points.
    • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, social media, industry conferences, and referrals. Build a robust pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
    • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target companies. Leverage these relationships to promote the organization's products or services and create business opportunities.
    • Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to develop compelling proposals and presentations that address client needs communicating DT One's key value proposition.
    • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations with potential clients, addressing concerns, objections, and contractual terms. Close deals in a timely manner while ensuring profitability and alignment with the organization's goals.
    • Reporting and Analytics: Track and report on business development activities, sales pipeline, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement, trends, and opportunities.

    What we are looking for

    • 8 years of experience with exposure to Telecom, FinTech/Payments/B2B tech domain.
    • Experience in the telecom domain will be an added advantage. Proven experience in setting account strategy, direction, and building out best in class best practices.
    • Proven experience in new business development
    • Driven, flexible, self-motivated, go-getter, able to accept change and with the ability to work at pace in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
    • Results-oriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiation.
    • Fluent in English & any other language is a plus.
