Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Summary:

    The Business Development Manager, located in Sheridan, AR, will grow our market share in the commercial roofing industry by prospecting and generating new commercial business as well as performing cold calls in the field to generate new permanent sales, support existing clients, and have the ability to conduct product demonstrations in the assigned sales area of AR, LA, OK, and MS.

    Business Development Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Managing assigned sales market by creating and fostering relationships in the commercial, industrial, and manufacturing markets to drive sales for Platinum Roofing.
    • Identifying and contacting new customers for sales opportunities.
    • Responsible for entering contacts and sales activity into programs (DataForma, Sage, Zoho) for tracking.
    • Once a sale is approved, you are responsible for scheduling the repair with the customer/crew.
    • New customer account management.
    • Completing repair work from time to time with other roofers that work for Platinum Roofing, only as needed
    • Contacting Service Manager and scheduling technicians for Emergency after hours calls.
    • Identifying additional work items/preventative maintenance items to be either completed while on-site or priced out with photo documentation to the customer for future work potentials. (recommended actions).
    • Communicate effectively all the above items daily to your local operations manager and sales manager. Including timely processing of customer documents to allow for timely processing of invoices.
    • Working with local material suppliers to protect the interests of Platinum Roofing with competitive material pricing when needed.
    • Working on long-term initiatives related to Platinum Roofing, LLC’s growth.
    • Attending weekly meetings for sales and service.
    • Attend monthly sales trainings
    • Attend monthly team safety meetings
    • Actively search for organizations/tradeshows/customer events to attend on behalf of yourself and Platinum Roofing.
    • Build invoices in a timely manner and communicate with customers about any additional concerns that come up.
    • Be a source of positivity and light for the service and project team. They are the guys that are doing the hard work, always showing appreciation and support for the work they are doing.
    • Provide the customer with the best scope of work for the job, and always be fair and honest in any situation.
    • Keep track of all conversations, deals, and incoming emails within Salesforce so that the entire sales team is on the same page with what is going on.
    • Base salary plus commission
    Travel Requirement: 25%

    The ideal candidate should be able to:
    • Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business
    • Service existing clients
    • Effectively demonstrate product line
    • Meet established goals for territory development and sales quotas
    Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
    • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in the roofing industry
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
    All Microsoft applications and software, Excel, Salesforce and Adobe experience a plus.
