Business Development Manager, Sr. manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager, Sr. makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager, Sr. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Development Manager, Sr. typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Responsibilities and Expectations:

    • Develop and execute power product strategies to surpass revenue and margin targets for IPS and Renewables AOP.
    • Identify new revenue streams in Renewables electrification, execute growth plans with OEM alignment, pricing, inventory, and sales/marketing considerations.
    • Support and guide IPS Renewables sales team to accelerate sales of electrification products, exceeding IPS AOP targets.
    • Deliver new product training to enhance sales teams' ability to enter and scale in new markets.
    • Address customer problems and provide solutions for challenges in renewables customers' electrical systems.
    • Assist in developing Renewables' sales process, communication, and consultative sales skills for electrification products.
    • Collaborate with IPS Sales Director to develop a strategy for penetrating the solar market with product and service solutions, targeting key decision makers.
    • Conduct joint sales calls with IPS Sales Team to focus on electrification products and drive sales growth.
    • Engage with sellers at key customer corporate meetings to specify IPS power products.
    • Interact with Renewables customers to address specific problems and collaborate with OEMs and partners for product upgrades.
    • Develop a strategy to penetrate up and down tower electrification products (breakers, switchgear, inverters, batteries, transformers).
    • Coordinate with IPS functional areas to improve customer service, retention, and target acquisition.
    • Foster "partnership models" with other IPS business units to drive sales growth.
    • Manage inventory requirements, ensure data accuracy and addressing gaps and turnover needs.
    • Engage in daily Renewables operations, including customer communication, feedback, and revenue-generating activities.
    • Provide detailed sales activity, trends, and forecasts for product sales and target products as requested.
    • Monitor external environments and competition for sales and margin growth opportunities and potential risks.
    • Assist in the AOP sales process as required.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, maintaining proper controls.

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, or Finance preferred
    • 10 years accomplished experience in Industrial sector sales management and business development.
    • Excellent strategy development, analytics, and financial acumen
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influence skills
    • Proficient in change management and project management
    • Exceptional customer centricity and leadership ability to execute and deliver results
