Business Development Manager, Sr. manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager, Sr. makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager, Sr. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Job Class: Part-time Gaming Counter

    Class Status: Active

    Department: BED

    Location of Work: Juneau

    Hourly Pay :  $16 – 21 / hour

    Hours of Work: Tues-Wed-Thurs, 5 pm – 10 pm

    Employment Category: Casual


    PURPOSE

    Under the supervision of the Gaming Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for all handling of all paper and money from floor sales

     

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    Reports To: Gaming Supervisor

    Supervises: N/A

    Liaison To: N/A

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Responsible for serving as banker, verifier and inventory control for floor salespeople.
    2. Maintains an inventory of paper used during the session, recording paper sales and cash of floor sales people.
    3. Collects amount due for each game from all Floor Sales.
    4. Counts papers and puts all extras back into groups of 25's.
    5. At the end of each game gives that information to the Bingo cashier to record in cash register.
    6. At the end of each session, verifies the cash for Bingo sales by counting a second time and initialing the deposit slip.
    7. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
    8. Primary person responsible for verifying the Bingo's declared, and will help clean up at end of the night.
    9. Responsible for all Credit and Telecheck transactions that are for "cash only" and not for purchases.

    NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    1. Must understand the importance of good customer relations as well as being able to work well with fellow employees to operate as a team.
    2. Must be able to maintain a physical pace of 4 to 5 straight hours of floor work.
    3. Must show a good attendance record and dependable work habits, free of alcohol or substance use during work hours.
    4. Must maintain strict confidentiality concerning tribal members’ personal matters.
    5. Must be aware of and abide by the Alaska Department of Revenue Charitable Gaming regulations, including strict requirement of undergoing a State and Federal pre-employment background check verifying no felony charges or convictions.
    6. Must be aware of the Central Council’s workplace rules.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)

    • High school diploma or GED preferred, as well as previous money-handling experience and ability to operate a cash register.
    • Must possess good organizational, mathematical, reading and communication skills.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)

     

    UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR RESTRICTIONS

    The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs.
