Job Summary:
Project Solutions, Inc. (PSI) is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to join our Business Services team. Our team helps develop small businesses, primarily within the construction industry, by providing training and coaching to increase their business growth and management potential. This role requires a self-driven individual able to operate autonomously under minimal supervision. This role also requires extensive organization, training development, public speaking, event facilitation, scheduling, and coordination with multiple clients. The Small Business Development Coordinator will report directly to the Business Projects Manager and will be responsible for supporting the programs, events, and tasks assigned to them.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate individual and group training seminars
Prepare and present client meeting materials
Prepare and present digital presentations
Track and maintain client files
Assist in the development and design of business plans and capability statements
Assist in facilitating the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) programs for North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska
Conduct research, write articles, and develop training related to the construction industry or general business development and best practices
Help prepare marketing materials for various business development programs and events
Conduct outreach initiatives to increase awareness and enrollment of the DBE programs and other training and leadership seminars.
Provide multimedia support for events and training sessions including developing web pages, presentations, and event promotion
Coordinate and schedule project activities and training through communication, outreach, and activity tracking of participants
Assist with reviewing DBE in state, interstate, and renewal certifications
Update tracking system for programs deliverables
Record meetings/webinars/training minutes and distribute the recorded materials
Participate in networking and community events with potential small businesses and partners, to increase program visibility
Travel to professional organization or contractor events to promote the DBE program and coaching services
Other tasks as assigned
Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business or a related field or equivalent
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage several client’s accounts, schedules, progress, and timelines at once
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Ability to stay organized, focused, and collaborative in a deadline-driven environment
Strong attention to detail. Superior skills in proofreading and editing
Comfortable with public speaking, able to present to small and large audiences
Willing to learn and work in a coach or trainer role
Team-oriented, collaborative, resourceful, and positive can-do attitude
Ability to work efficiently and independently under pressure, self-starter
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Teams, and PowerPoint)
Ability to talk in front of camera or audience and present material in a professional manner
The ability to give and receive constructive and helpful feedback with staff colleagues
