Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a VP, Business Development - Services. This role sits in DEPCOM's Services department and can be based in Scottsdale, AZ or fully remote. This role will require 25-50% travel to accomplish business objectives.

    What You Will Do

    • Build and maintain client relationships using principle based behavior that leads to partnerships built on trust
    • Establish short and long-range strategic plans for sales opportunities for Solar Operation & Maintenance and Specialized Service opportunities
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop proposals for Solar Operation & Maintenance opportunities as well as Specialized Service technician support
    • Assess existing agreements and use that data to inform any modifications required in advance of renewals/extensions
    • Lead deal negotiations and contracting by leveraging internal capabilities and SMEs
    • Work with external owners and internal capability leaders to develop creative solutions to customer needs that result in mutual benefit and promote partnership
    • Work with EPC Business Develop9ment associates to optimize the overall customer value of DEPCOM's EPC and O&M offerings to promote DEPCOM's One Source Solution philosophy
    • Develop proposals highlighting DEPCOM's capabilities that meet customers needs and reflect risk adjusted pricing
    • Participate in customer engagements, trade shows, industry events, etc. to build confidence in DEPCOM's capabilities to foster preferred partnerships that provide mutual benefit
    • Lead pricing development and negotiations that lead to successful opportunities (collaborating with and leveraging SMEs as required)
    • Work with DEPCOM's Marketing to create, maintain, and refresh DEPCOM statement of qualifications and marketing material


    Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

    • Industry knowledge & experience: experience in the power and utility sector; exposure to renewables
    • Service experience: experience selling and providing industrial services; exposure to O&M offerings through OEM, EPC or subcontracting
    • Understanding of energy markets and how various customer types (utility, IPP, developer, etc.) view/prioritize services
    • Demonstrated ability to blend financial thinking and technical/operational risk mitigation to create opportunities that lead to mutual benefit


    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Detailed knowledge of O&M maintenance strategies for equipment used in utility scale solar facilities
    • Experience on the Owner side

    For this role, we anticipate paying $160,000 - $200,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
