Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Business Intelligence Analyst

  • We are seeking a self-motivated and self-directed analyst/developer to drive the design and development of data analytics tools and reports. This position requires excellent data analysis skills, tools development, and a big-picture perspective. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must as this position involves collaboration with teams across the organization.
    • 5 years of industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology
    • Establish standards and best practices for dashboards and related technologies for the project
    • Understand and guide the implementation of analytical projects and initiatives that support the measurement of healthcare dollars spent (including vendor management and software implementations.)
    • Designs, implements, analyzes, and modifies moderate to complex reporting applications using BI / Analytics software – e.g. Tableau, WebFocus
    • Develop BI analytics based ad hoc user Interface for end users • Support Activities to document, evolve, and communicate artifacts developed using BI Analytics
    • Manage a repository of re-usable data visualization templates and views
    • Conduct primary and secondary strategic business research and analysis as it relates to healthcare utilization, trend management, and quality, including analytical design, data gathering, analysis and development.
    • Defines, executes and interpret complex/nested SQL queries • Possesses strong GUI and design skills.
    • Works with key internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize and communicate strategic solutions and achieve results from corporate health care analytics.
    • Contributes to the evaluation, analysis, implementation, documentation and development of business needs and system requirements.
    • Knowledge in data access, use of database tools, data modeling concepts, data mapping, database analysis, primary keys, indexing, data integrity issues, metadata, dataflow and project management.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    5 years of Higher Ed experience in report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence

    Technical Expertise with Reporting Software, BI Analytics software, PLSQL (WebFOCUS experience highly desirable)

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Creative problem-solving abilities, initiative, perseverance and intellectual curiosity.

    Knowledge in data access, use of database tools, data modeling concepts, data mapping, database analysis, primary keys, indexing, data integrity issues, metadata, dataflow, and project management.

    Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Strong communication skills, ability to present training sessions to individuals and large groups. Ability to communicate and document technical concepts and issues with non-technical audiences, both verbally and written.
    Solid interpersonal skills are a must as this position requires collaboration with internal and external teams across the college.

    This is not a remote position, candidate needs to commute to campus a few days a week.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    A Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, business or a related field with a minimum of five years of related business experience
    Preferred Skills/Experience:
    • 5 years’ experience in Report Development
    • Familiar with WebFOCUS report development and GUI
    • Experience with PLSQL including development of stored procedures, functions, and objects
    • User Interface Design using HTML/HTML5 , CSS/CSS3 ,JavaScript
    • Experience with GUI/ User Interface driven by dynamic parameter/ reporting
