Facilitates organizational data strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration and usage. Being a Business Intelligence Director is responsible for leading the design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
