Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Summary
- The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work in a multi-disciplinary team made up of Clinical Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Strategy/Integration experts to extract valuable insights from data, enhancing decision-making processes within the organization.
- Primary responsibility will be to leverage PowerBI for visualizing the insights to translate complex data sets into intuitive and actionable visual representations.
- Additionally, this position will play a pivotal role in data engineering and transformation to ensure seamless flow of data to support the organization’s business related needs.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, analytics, mathematics, business, or related fields.
- Master's degree or Ph.D preferred in computer science, analytics, mathematics, business, or related fields.
Certification, Licensure and/or Registration
- Expert level knowledge in PowerBI and SQL required.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience required.
- Working knowledge in Python preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare finance, revenue cycle, and/or supply chain preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
