    Position Summary: 

    The Manager of Business Intelligence aligns and directs the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision strategies, objectives, and goals of the business. This position collaborates with senior leaders and department leadership to identify and generate business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that data analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. In addition, the Manager of Business Intelligence manages the day-to-day activities of the company-wide data warehouse; and ensures and maintains its health and efficiency, including the standardization of reporting and data warehouse management across the organization.

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

    • Data Warehouse Management and Integration- Working in tandem with Database Analysts, manage all interrelated aspects of and standardize data warehouse architecture. Identify the organization's information needs and provide technical direction for designing and developing a data warehouse environment to meet those needs. Oversee data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow across different systems and platforms.
    • Report Management – Collaborate with data analysts to create new reports, visualizations, and workflows based on business logic as provided by department leaders and various business lines. Maintain and enhance current reports and workflows based on evolving needs. Work with data analysts to troubleshoot reports or processes to resolve occasional errors.
    • Data Governance – Working with data analysts to enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security within the organization.
    • Consulting/Advising – Working with department leaders, provide thought leadership and act as a subject matter expert in designing and recommending analytical approaches and methodology for reporting improvements and key business issues.
    • Long-Term BI Strategy - Organize and design the strategy, technology needs, processes, and resources necessary to address the current and future business intelligence and data reporting needs of the business. Additionally, as reporting capabilities advance, create and execute training initiatives for end-users to foster comprehension of BI tools and promote overall adoption within the organization.
    • Industry Knowledge - Stay informed and keep up with the latest industry trends and best practices to subsequently impart on the data analytics personnel for continued growth and development.
    • Ability to time manage, pay attention to detail and to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to meet project management deadlines on time or ahead of schedule
    • Minimal travel required

    To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree or more in a related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 5 years of experience in business intelligence, database management, report development and/or data analytics role.
    • Experience in business process analysis, data architecture design and development as well as the implementation of workflow enabled solutions
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate computer skills and be highly proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint, SSRS, PowerBI, Azure, Tableau, analysis services, or any other data visualization tools
    • Superior skill in transforming data and affecting business processes in order to support data governance and integrity
    • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, data linking and ETL processes.
    • Must be detail oriented, be comfortable working in a collaborative setting, be self-motivated requiring minimal supervision, be a creative strategic and independent thinker, and have superior problem-solving skills.
