Position Summary
The Business Office Manager oversees and participates in the general business operations, including daily operations. The position provides leadership to the center’s business office professionals, including scheduling, authorizations, credentialing/privileges and patient relationships. Reporting to the Administrator and CEO, the Business Office Manager is responsible for the business operations of the center including scheduling, insurance verification and authorization, medical records, fee collections, reception, human resources, and accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This is a working manager position that has a strong understanding of insurance payers, contracting, patient benefits, and calculating copays and deductibles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Position requirements:
· 3-5 years of medical experience and have a:
· Strong working knowledge in revenue cycle management
· Experience in performing and managing day to day operations of a surgery center business office.
· Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is required.
· Previous accounts payable experience is preferable.
· Must have excellent communication and computer skills.
· Must lead by example and demonstrate an open and honest management style.
