Business Process Optimization Director manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Director oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Director engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Process Optimization Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     About the role:

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating changes to impacted organizations. Focus is on process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions relating to current and future business environments.

    What you will be doing?
    Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives, e.g., ISO, Lean or Six Sigma.• Responsible for most complex business and systems process analysis, design and simulation.• Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.• Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.• Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.• Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.• Collects data to identify root cause of problems.• Measures performance against process requirements.• Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.

    What you will need:
    • A thorough understanding of Core OMNI, OMNI Trade, OMNI Plus, Admin Web and/ or XML and a minimum of 3 years of recent experience using them is a prerequisite of this role.
    • Advanced knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering• Advanced proficiency in at least one appropriate process methodology, e.g., ISO, Lean, Six Sigma• Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies• Excellent training/presentation skills to educate the organization on new or updated processes• Willingness to shares relevant technical, process, and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
    Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills• Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take• Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed.

    Added bonus if you have:
    Broad knowledge of FIS’ products and services, business practices and processes
    • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, regulations and processes
