    Job Description:

    Job Summary/Objective/Role:  As the HR Coordinator, your role is to provide administrative support and assistance to the HR department.  You will preform various tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, record management, and benefits administration.  The HR coordinator will also be involved in maintaining employee communication and promoting a positive work environment. 

    Duties/Responsibilities: 

    Recruitment Support 

    • Assists with recruitment and interview process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. 
    • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities. 

    Employee Records Management 

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and performance evaluations. 
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information. 
    • Prepare reports and metrics related to employee data as required. 
    • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. 
    • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks. 
    • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions. 
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files. 
    • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. 
    • Prepares new-employee files. 

    Benefits Administration 

    • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. 
    • Coordinate enrollment processes, respond to employee inquiries and liaise with benefits providers. 
    • Reconciles benefits statements. 

    HR Program Coordination 

    • Support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives, such as performance management, employee engagement and training. 
    • Assist in the development and distribution of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. 

    Employee Relations 

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide general HR support. 
    • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts, escalating as necessary. 
    • Contribute to fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee satisfaction. 

    Compliance and Reporting 

    • Stay updated on employment laws, regulations, and industry trends. 
    • Assist in ensuring HR compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 
    • Prepare and submit reports to government agencies or stakeholders.

    • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

     Education and Experience 

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience. 
    • At least two years related experience required. 

    Physical Demands:  

    Must possess ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to visit various client and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Finger dexterity needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard and to operate standard office equipment. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although prolonged standing and walking and the ability to climb ramps, stairs, and ladders may be required when traveling or on client site. May occasionally require the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 40 pounds or heavier weights with assistance and/or the use of proper equipment.
