    JOB DESCRIPTION:



    Pay Rate: $147,528 - $184,410, DOE

    The Director of Process Excellence creates, designs, and builds new standards and practices related to operational and systematic processes within the Enterprise. This role works in close alignment with the Officer Leadership Team and Enterprise Leaders to ensure world class operational outcomes in support of the Team Member and Chumash Customer experience.

    This role and its function are part of the Strategic Programs shared services model. A Team Member in a shared service structure, works within a dedicated business unit (including people, processes, and technologies) that is structured as a centralized point of service and is focused on defined business functions. These units typically serve multiple business groups enterprise wide, and typically have established Service Level Agreements.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

    • Responsible for the leadership and development of work processes, inclusive of owning the development of work processes, driving and supporting work process implementation, and providing governance for process improvements and updates.
    • Responsible for the continued progression on Process Excellence through staffing and leading a team of subject matter experts, as well as the continued development, implementation, and refinement of problem solving and continuous improvement.
    • Prepares and delivers executive level presentations highlighting performance of the Process Excellence team in an easy-to-understand manner.
    • Runs cross-functional team meetings efficiently and optimally, with the ability to connect dots and influence key decisions.
    • Supports and interacts with executive leadership and key partners within the business in developing business process strategies, including long-term goals and objectives, risk management, and facilitates cross-functional team collaboration.
    • Collaborates with the business’s executive team and relevant partners during strategy formulation, of the development, and execution of the planning processes across various business projects.
    • Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering where process design and/or technology are a focus.
    • Masters’ degree in related field preferred.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Ten years of experience in business process optimization/reengineering, applying process improvement, modeling, and reengineering methodologies to conduct process optimization and improvement projects.
    • Must have applied experience in running Kaizen process improvement teams with actionable results.
    • Certificate in Process Excellence related field required from an accredited institution.
    • Advanced computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and Internet.
    • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
    • Native American hiring preference applies.
