What Will I Be Doing?
- Prepares a complete financial statement monthly in accordance with the dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame.
- Ensures that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate.
- Develop reports to assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Corporate Controllers, General Manager and other members of the Management Team in an effort to better analyze the business.
- Assist Corporate Controllers in the preparation of monthly reports.
- Analyze information and evaluate alternatives in an effort to resolve issues and make sound, timely decisions.
- Partner with Human Resources on matters such as Employee Engagement, Benefits, Open Enrollment, Government Reporting, etc.
- Performs efficiently with the normal amount of direction for the position; displays the professional attitude and capabilities of a self-starter.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:
- High School Diploma required; however, an Associates / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field would be preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry in roles heavily involved in the day-to-day Financial Operations of the Dealership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write and distribute routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply the concepts of basic algebra in order to calculate debits, credits, quantity, etc.
- Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Have and maintain an excellent driving record.
