POSITION SUMMARY:
The main focus of the Controller is to provide financial controlling support to the operational management of DWK New Jersey operations. The Controller has overall responsibility for managing the day-to-day financial transactions and to ensure they are performed in a timely and accurate manner. This position must assure value-based decisions while maintaining conformance with DWK guidelines, standards, and government regulations. This position is responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial position of the income statement for actual, forecast, and budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures financial transactions and events are recorded, classified, and summarized in accordance with IFRS.
- Maintaining and updating material, labor, and OH standards.
- Identify, review, and analyze variances in the P&L including but not limited to sales deviations, material consumption/inventory, staff costs, and other expenses.
- Supporting and developing action plans to control variance accounts/deviations to plan.
- Analyze and monitor inventory control and support the optimization of inventory turns.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly and yearly reporting within Group guidelines/standards.
- Prepare budgets and forecast within Group guidelines/standards.
- Ensure monthly distribution and review of cost centers to local management including various reports.
- Support local management in the development of forecast and budgets (cost center/NJ operations).
- Assist in establishing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures necessary to support and provide accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist in financial audits by external auditors.
- Assist in completion of special projects, as required.
- Understands the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.
- Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the OPS including the benefits of improved performance and comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with OPS.
- Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations and maintains work area in a clean and safe manner.
- Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years’ experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment. Prior auditing, operations, and management experience is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS/GAAP. Strong understanding of manufacturing, financial analysis, and distribution concepts.
- Understand all drivers of P&L and Balance Sheet, macro understanding of information technology and its impact on the business processes (from order entry, to supply chain management, and materials requirements planning, to SAP integration).

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work may take place in an office, warehouse, or manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 40 pounds. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure. Travel domestic and/or international occasionally.
