We are searching for a highly skilled Purchasing Agent/Buyer to contribute to Petrotech’ s growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority in turnkey turbomachinery control projects. To deliver on our promise to clients, we count on exceptionally talented, bright, and committed people. This professional multitasker will work closely with the engineering department and shop personnel to source, order and expedite various industrial components and materials in support of control system panel manufacturing. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, with buying experience in industrial product markets and able to track multiple facets of the purchasing process at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfillment of millions of product orders every year.
Position Responsibilities:

• Locate sources of supply, obtain quotations, place orders, and expedite material as necessary.
• Negotiate contracts and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Develop alternate sources, ensuring competitive prices.
• Generate and maintain database of negotiated vendor pricing agreements.
• Handling of parts sales.
• Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
• Place orders with vendors utilizing Dynamics business system, daily follow up, work with team to coordinate pick up/delivery, monitor open orders report.
• Complies with ISO 9001 procedures. Other duties as assigned.
• Focus on cost vs. benefit, minimizing costs/lead times while meeting delivery requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in purchasing of industrial electrical products.

· Excellent computer skills and experience with automated purchasing systems.

· Experience with Dynamic Business System software package is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day multi-tasking purchasing functions.
