May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Cabinetmaker and Bench Carpenter is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Cabinetmaker and Bench Carpenter performs a variety of tasks. Carpenter Co. is a private fleet looking to hire experienced CDL drivers and recent graduates. Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Class A CDL Truck Driver at our Elkhart, IN Foam manufacturing plant.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining a company vehicle to deliver finished products to external customers safely, on time and following company policies and government regulations within a defined geographic delivery area.
- Paid for all hours worked-Mileage-Hourly-Unloading Pay-Meals
- We also have Profit Sharing and a great Benefit Package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and paid time off (Vacation and Holidays).
- Salary 1st year average is $88,000 and higher for Road Drivers!
- Sign on Bonus and / or tuition payback details will be discussed in person
Skills / Requirements
Requirements :
- Must have a Class A CDL including Manual Transmission Endorsement, but no experience required.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
- Must adhere to all DOT Regulations and practice safe driving techniques.
- Must maintain accurate paperwork and electronic DOT logs.
- Must unload finished product at each destination as required.
- Must be able to lift carpet cushion rolls weighing 50 to 90 lbs. each.
- Carpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing on all applicants that receive and accept a written offer of employment.*
