Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all phases of workers compensation litigation, from case inception to resolution
• Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Review and analyze medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files
• Maintain case files and document management systems

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers compensation law
• Proficient in legal administrative tasks and procedures
• Strong research skills using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
• Ability to negotiate, write, and research effectively
• Familiarity with the litigation process and legal drafting

Carpenter & Zuckerman offers employees a substantial benefits package inclusive of medical, dental vision and basic life insurance. The firm also a 401(k) plan which includes an employer match available after a vesting period. The firm offers ten (10) paid holidays and four (4) half day holidays. Employees have 80 hours of sick leave each calendar year and accrue vacation at a rate of 3.36 hours per pay-period.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
