CAD Drafter utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Currently running on AUTO CAD 2023, we will train candidates in our area of manufacturing but AUTO CAD Expertise is preferred! This position has potential and demand to be promoted to LEAD DRAFTER for our company.
-Experience in Estimating: Must be very proficient in reading Architectural Plans, Complete Cast Stone / Precast Take Offs (will train), add Lineal Footage and Calculate Weights. Rockridge utilizes take-off software to help with efficiency and simplifying the task.
-Clerical Experience in, but not limited to: EXCEL, data entry, shipping, receiving, filing and scanning.
-Customer Service and Communication: Sales, Talking with Contractors and Architects, reviewing past quotes & bids.
-Candidate MUST have some Capabilities / Experience / Schooling in Drafting. This candidate will be responsible for creating Shop Drawings; Shop Tickets to Contractors for approval and use in manufacturing cast stone units based off Architectural Plans & Drawings.

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
