Duties and responsibilities:

· Create a commercially practical, technically correct and economically sound design for an assigned product or unit based on predetermined mechanical characteristics.

· Responsible for performance requirements, weight and dimensional limits, determining the nature and working relationship of the various elements of design.

• Review work orders for consistency and design conflicts
• Support sales staff in answering customer questions
• Use engineering modeling software such as but not limited to SolidWorks and Creo to solve complex engineering problems
• Completes hand calculations as needed to supplement analysis reports
• Review engineering drawings for accuracy of designs
• Writing reports
• Documenting units as built by producing work instructions and/or detailed assembly drawings.

Qualifications:

· Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be self-motivated

· Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done

• Strong organizational skills and time management
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excel
• Word
• CAD experience is a requirement
• Graphic Design is a plus
• Be able to effectively carry out assigned duties in varying work environments
• Desire to learn
• General knowledge of the layout of an ambulance and construction of its components
• preferably in an automotive related industry.
• Experience with problem solving techniques (5 why & root cause analysis), and with statistical techniques and data analysis is a plus
• Must have excellent communication skills with ability to interface directly with hourly employees as well as management level of employee concerning manufacturing initiatives and progress updates
• Must possess a high energy level with a strong work ethic
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
