Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Job Responsibilities
· Create and modify engineering drawings in conformance with GK standards defining equipment and parts for manufacture.
· Generate bills of material as required for release to manufacturing.
· Effectively use available technology to enhance productivity.
· Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, ensuring that all requirements are met.
· Work within a team environment, working closely with Design and Production Engineers, and our Manufacturing team.
· Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, and procedures.
