Second Generation Arc N Spark Welding is looking for a highly talented mechanical design drafter with high experience in Autodesk Inventor to join our dynamic team! We’re seeking a hardworking professional who likes meeting challenges and surpassing client expectations.

Duties of the Job:

· Diligently review and understand project manager and customer design drawings & specifications.

· Layout and check clearances and interferences

· Detail erection drawings and shop drawings for submittal

· Build assembly Bills of Material

· Support purchasing and shop with nesting, templates, running dimensions, etc.

· Orderly assignment of part numbers and organized filing system for all drawings

· Accurate and timely completion of detailing work

· Participate in brainstorming and design reviews

· Deliver projects on time and within budget

· Work with shop assembly personnel in troubleshooting & debugging of equipment

· Assist in the checking of drawings and analyze tolerance stack ups

· Assist in developing engineering and drafting standards

Requirements:

· 2 years experience in the structural or industrial field

· Ability to read and understand blueprints.

· Strong 3D modeling & CAD skills

· Highly experienced with Autodesk Inventor (PREFFERED)

· Experience with AutoCAD (PREFFERED)

· Basic understanding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel shapes

· Basic understanding of AISC Detailing Standards, AWS Weld Procedures

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent Team strategy skills and highly motivated to complete task of any scope.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
