Customers walk in to the smell of fresh baked bread, coffee, and from-scratch food while taking in the beauty of the organic produce and local goods in the farm store. We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team (training can be provided for a suitable inexperienced candidate). The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, as well as a strong knowledge of coffee-making techniques. Responsibilities include preparing and serving coffee drinks, operating the cash register, maintaining the cleanliness of the shop, and providing excellent customer service. Additional job responsibilities include running food orders, clearing tables, dishes, general tidying of the bakery and kitchen as needed, assisting with food prep as needed, and helping to maintain a well stocked farm fridge. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee drinks and other beverages according to customer orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
• Understand and adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and recipes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of espresso-based drinks and their ingredients.
• Assist bakery staff with general tidying and ingredient stocking
• Assist the Back of House staff with general tidying and food prep as needed
• Monitor front of house ingredients and supplies and inform management when ingredients are low
• Maintain a well stocked farm store for customers to view and shop in

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
