The Cafe Manager oversees operations including ordering, inventory, meal planning, food preparation, and service. Manages an on site company cafeteria. Being a Cafe Manager manages and trains cafeteria staff. Ensures operations are in compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations. In addition, Cafe Manager may require an associate's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Cafe Manager supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Qualifications
This position is responsible for managing a Top Pot Doughnuts Café, engaged in preparing espresso drinks, selling doughnuts, sandwiches, pastries and general lines of merchandise. This position is also responsible for the overall upkeep of the facility, and the bottom line profitability of the café, by performing the following duties personally and then through subordinate supervisors.

Work Environment:
The work environment is a typical coffee shop setting and this position is constantly working in front of a large espresso machine. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employees working at a café with a drive thru may be exposed to both heat and cold (weather related). Safe use of common cleaning agents, such as bleach, can be expected.
The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
