Calibration and Metrology Technician

  • Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled Calibration Metrology Technician to join our team. As a Calibration Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our manufacturing processes by performing calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of precision measuring instruments, within a vacuum leak testing environment. This is a critical role that requires a solid background in electrical systems and the ability to work with precision equipment.

    Duties:
    - Perform calibration and verification of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators
    - Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems related to metrology equipment
    - Maintain accurate records of calibration activities and ensure compliance with quality standards
    - Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement calibration procedures
    - Use AutoCAD or similar software to interpret schematics and diagrams
    - Operate CNC machines for the production of specialized measurement tools
    - Test and calibrate logic controllers for automated measurement systems

    Experience:
    - Prior experience within a vacuum leak testing environment preferred.

    - 2 Prior years of experience as within Calibration, Metrology and or Vacuum Leak Technology required. Technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment desired.
    - Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including high voltage applications
    - Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and calibration equipment

    - Familiarity with basic hand tools required.
    - Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software for interpreting schematics is preferred.
    - Experience working with CNC machines for tool production is preferred
    - Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

    -Basic computer skills desired: Data entry, order processing, MS Office, to include, Word & Excel

    -Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
    - Excellent problem-solving skills

    - Willingness to learn scientific glass blowing
