Job Summary:
As a Calibration Technician, you will perform various calibration activities necessary for the stable production of silicon carbide wafers in a safe and reliable manner while also meeting production schedules. This position requires high attention to detail and operational discipline as required by the high standards of the electronics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage calibration schedules
• Coordinate equipment downtime with operations and delivery deadlines
• Operate calibration equipment ensuring quality and conformance to standard operating procedures
• Maintain Calibration compliance and deviation reports
• Work with support personnel to resolve calibration deficiencies
• Interaction with computer-controlled Process equipment
• Interaction with computer-controlled Metrology equipment
• Troubleshooting processes, tools, and equipment
• Work 4-10 schedule M-T or T-F 6:00AM to 4:30PM
• Complete training as needed and on time
• Work With Manager and CMMS coordinator to implement and maintain PM’s as well as create and Maintain Job Aids and SOP’S.
Physical Requirements:
M-Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience with calibration work processes
• Knowledge and experience with computer systems
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Experience in electronics industry manufacturing
• Silicon Carbide or Silicon manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes & 5S organizational practices
• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or other equivalent Manufacturing Operations software
Skills & education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Instrument certification or on the job training.
