METROLOGY & CALIBRATION - TECH IIIThe Calibration Technician III position will support Rothe Enterprises, Inc as the Prime Contractor on the Wallops Metrology and Calibration Lab Contract (WMCL) at the Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) in Wallops Island, VA. The WMCL provides calibration and repair services for customers’ Measuring and Test Equipment (MTE) at WFF. WFF is a rocket launch site on Wallops Island, VA and is a part of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD. This is a full time permanent position.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Calibration Technician III is responsible for Metrology and Calibration in the WMCL, which includes but not limited to the following:
- Ensures compliance with ISO standards.
- Responsible for performing repairs, calibrations and general housekeeping;
- Is able to understand the objective of calibration and how to assess results.
- Is proficient in Physical Dimensional, DC & Low, RF, Force and Temperature and requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites.
- Emphasis on RF calibrations with systems including but not limited to, Measuring Receivers, Reference level generator, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power sensor calibrations, signal generator calibrations and radio test equipment.
- May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE):- This position requires 7 years’ experience in calibration services or related field.
WORKING CONDITIONS:- This position is contingent on successful completion of security badging requirements which include but are not limited to background checks, drug screening.
- Must be willing and able to sign a personal NDA and firewall/protect sensitive Government and other Contractor data
