At OpenTech Alliance, the Client Manager is critical in answering the phone promptly to create a welcoming environment and identifying customer needs and exceeding their expectations. This position is primarily responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating activities of workers providing telephone customer support services by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates.
Essential Job Functions
- Client Managers will work with customers to identify their needs and provide solutions that will contribute to their storage experience.
- Working virtually alongside the facilities onsite team to maximize sales objectives with each prospective customer via the phone, web or in person at your assigned locations
- Remotely oversee the smooth running of activities at our Clients Self-Storage locations
- Collect tenant rent
- Communicate and assist in the coordination of regular maintenance and repair of facilities to ensure utility needs of tenants are met
- Follow security protocols to monitor self-storage property activities and implement precautionary measures
- Set and enforce occupancy policies and regulations necessary to maintain order within property premises
- Support the vacation or eviction of self-storage tenants in accordance with each facilities policies
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of self-storage policies and employ this knowledge in performing job duties
- Consistently practice exceptional customer service by welcoming future and current customers in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner
- Rent storage units and prepare leases
- Conduct Outbound collection calls
- Meet customer needs with a high level of service
- Controls delinquencies through phone calls, emails, and letters as per company policy.
- A calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events, and who can stay busy at times when traffic and business is slow.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Coordinate with onsite Field Managers
Other Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Physical Requirements
- Regularly uses a keyboard to interact with computer system
- Regularly required to communicate verbally
Skills and Qualifications
- You could have experience from a variety of environments including retail sales, restaurant, sales associate, and other customer-centered selling roles
- Energetic, outgoing, customer oriented personality
- Exercise good judgement while following Business rules
- Leadership skills and experience supervising others is preferred.
- A High School diploma /GED equivalent. College education a plus
- Ability to perform light maintenance.
- Strong Computer Skills
- Minimum two year Customer Service and/or Sales experience
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
- Positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft suite (word, excel, outlook).
- Proficient in English
