On-Call Trainers are responsible for delivering Wilson® professional development services on an as-needed basis as requested by Wilson Language Training.
Essential Job Functions:
• Conduct professional development programs for site-based and public venue clients throughout the country.
• Consult as needed with: WLT office, school administrators, former and current participants enrolled in professional development programs, teachers, and parents
• Attend meetings, as needed, via phone or web
• Adhere to WLT’s travel, time-keeping and reimbursement policies
• Understand and display WLT’s values
Minimum Requirements:
• Credentialed Wilson Language Trainer
• Wilson Level II certification
• Have and maintain the required credentials as determined by WLT to deliver the Wilson professional development
• Provide certified training, (for Level I and/or Level II, depending upon trainer credentialing) to an agreed-upon minimum number of individuals each school year in a Certification Community
• Keep abreast of educational trends and activities in (Prevention/ Intervention/Remedial-Dyslexic), K-12 and Adult.
• Commitment to support fidelity of instruction Wilson programs
• Submit a letter indicating there is not a conflict of interest with currently held position if with a school district
• Successfully complete a criminal background check
Education or Certification:
• Masters degree in Education or related field
• Concentration on Reading a plus
Experience:
• Wilson Trainer
• Substantial background and experience in education
• Experience in teaching WRS to both individuals and groups
• Experience in teaching Wilson Fluency, Prevention and Intervention programs a plus
• Experience instructing, guiding, and mentoring educational professionals
• Being a “natural” with multisensory language teaching
• Strong presentation skills
