Campus Police Officer conduct patrols on campus to ensure security of buildings, students and staff. Responds to requests for assistance and emergencies. Being a Campus Police Officer enforces vehicle and traffic regulations. Investigates crimes. Additionally, Campus Police Officer may conduct educational activities related to safety and crime prevention. Typically require associate degree in criminal justice. May require POST(Peace Office Standards and Training) certification. Typically reports to Police Supervisor. The Campus Police Officer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Basic Recruit- Non Certified $19.24
Certified Lateral Transfer $20.28-$28.08 (based on experience)
(Salary does not include $4000.00 KLEFPF)

Minimum Qualifications:
21 Years of Age
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Valid KY Operators License or the ability to obtain one
Legally Possess a Firearm within State and Federal Laws
No Prior Felony Convictions
No Emergency Protective Orders or Domestic Violence Orders
Honorable Discharge or General Discharge with Honorable Conditions if prior Military
Pass the KY Peace Officers Professional Standards Examinations, Physical Agility Examination, Drug Screen, Polygraph, Background Examination
Successfully complete 20 Week Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Academy.
