The Town of Hot Springs, Montana is accepting applications for the Full-Time position for Police Officer. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen; of legal age to perform the duties of this job under MT law; possess a MT driver’s license, possess MT POST certification; and or be able to obtain same within twelve (12) months of hire. Must be able to handle several tasks simultaneously; be able to react quickly and effectively in stressful situations; work nights, weekends, holidays. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the safety and security of all residents and visitors
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and respond to criminal activities
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence for criminal cases
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and law enforcement activities
- Handle conflicts and emergencies effectively
- Utilize driving skills for patrol and response purposes
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions
Applicant must be employable in the State of Montana, and must pass a background check, medical and physical screening, and psychological evaluation. Salary is negotiable based upon education and experience. Benefits include Retirement, health insurance, vacation, sick and paid holidays. Rate of pay will be $18-$20 per hour to start.
